🔴 Subordinierend (Verb am ENDE)Subordinating (verb at the END) 🟡 Position 1 (Inversion: Verb Pos 2)Position 1 (inversion: verb pos. 2) 🟣 Position 0 (ADUSO: normal S-V-O)Position 0 (ADUSO: normal S-V-O) 🔵 konjugiertes Verbconjugated verb 🟢 Subjektsubject
🧭 Überblick: Wohin kommt das Verb nach dem Konnektor?🧭 Overview: where does the verb go after the connector?
🔴 Verb ans ENDE — aber nur im eigenen Teil (Nebensatz)🔴 Verb to the END — but only in its own part (subordinate clause) weil · da · dass · wenn · als · obwohl · während · nachdem · bevor · damit · ob · falls · sodass · seitdem (14) Ich bleibe zu Hause, weil ich krank bin. 🟡 Verb SOFORT danach (Position 2), dann Subjekt🟡 Verb RIGHT AFTER it (position 2), then the subject deshalb · deswegen · daher · trotzdem · außerdem · sonst · dann · folglich · allerdings (9) Ich bin krank, deshalb bleibe ich zu Hause.
Only the 🔴 words send a verb to the end — and only the verb in their part (red background). The other part is a main clause: verb in position 2. That is why “Weil ich krank bin, gehe ich nach Hause” has one verb at the end (bin) and one in front (gehe).

Gruppe 1: Subordinierend (Nebensatz)Group 1: subordinating (subordinate clause) Verb ganz ans ENDEverb to the very END

💡 REGEL: Nach unterordnenden Konnektoren steht das konjugierte Verb ganz am Ende des Nebensatzes. Steht der Nebensatz vorne, folgt das Verb des Hauptsatzes direkt nach dem Komma (Inversion)!RULE: After subordinating connectors, the conjugated verb moves to the very end of the subordinate clause. If the subordinate clause comes first, the main-clause verb follows immediately after the comma (inversion)!
⚠️ „Verb ans Ende“ gilt NUR im Nebensatz. Der Hauptsatz behält seine eigene Regel (Verb auf Position 2). Steht der Nebensatz vorne, ist er komplett Position 1 → das Hauptsatz-Verb kommt direkt nach dem Komma:⚠️ “Verb to the end” applies ONLY inside the subordinate clause. The main clause keeps its own rule (verb in position 2). If the subordinate clause comes first, the whole clause is position 1 → the main-clause verb comes right after the comma:
① Weil der Bus nicht kam, ② bin ③ ich … zu spät zur Arbeit gekommen.
„kam“ = Verb des weil-Satzes → am Ende. „bin … gekommen“ = Perfekt des Hauptsatzes: bin auf Position 2, gekommen ganz am Ende (Satzklammer).“kam” = verb of the weil clause → at its end. “bin … gekommen” = Perfekt of the main clause: bin in position 2, gekommen at the very end (sentence bracket).

💡 REGEL: ADUSO (aber, denn, und, sondern, oder) zählen als Position 0.
